Windows 10 Builds with CMPivot
Did you know that Windows 10 actually stores the “friendly” build numbers in the registry (1809, 1903, 1909, etc)? I didn’t until Adam Gross pointed it out at last years MMSMOA. Anyway here’s a simple CMPivot to give you a representation of your Windows 10 versions.
Registry('hklm:\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion') | where Property == 'ReleaseId' | summarize dcount(Device) by Value | render columnchart with (title='Windows 10 Build Version Count', ytitle='Totals', xtitle='Build Number')
Which gives you a nice bar chart
